457 (Temporary) Work Visa
This visa allows skilled workers to come to Australia and work for an approved business for up to four years if your occupation is listed on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) or two years if your occupation is listed on the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL).
Prospective Partner & Spouse Visas
The Prospective Partner visa (sc300) allows people to come to Australia to marry their fiancé.
The Spouse visas (sc309/sc100 and sc820/sc801) allow the partner or spouse of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia.
186/187 (Permanent) Work Visa
This visa is a permanent residence visa for skilled workers. It allows you to work in Australia (sc186) or regional Australia (sc187) under one of three streams, the Temporary Residence Transition stream; the Direct Entry stream; or the Agreement stream.
Skills Assessment

The Visitor (sc600), eVisitor (sc651) and Electronic Travel Authority (sc601) visas allow you to travel to Australia for a holiday, visit family or come for business visitor purposes for up to three, six or 12 months. Which visa you are eligible to apply for will depend on which country's passport you hold.
